I have 31,000 US miles on these, and I will replace with Nokian WR's, within a week. I DID have the cold/out-of-round problem, but it always went away after the tires warmed up.
Contrary to the other reports, I have had 4 people, and traveled over 145mph safely, and confidently, following a Mustang GT (really ticked him off...).
As for snow, I live in KC, opposite side of state, and you may see 1 foot of snow in a St. Louis storm once every 3-5 years...I would worry more about ice/rain. These are VERY good tires in the rain, and acceptable in ice. Short of that, I would go with a dedicated snow, or the only snowflake rated all-season, the Nokian WR.
I am disappointed in the wear of the Conti's, but they are cheap when compared to the Nokian's ($110/tire v. $169/tire). I wanted a longer milage tire, and I used Nokian exclusively in Wisconsin for winter tires. So, I will give them a try.
Both the Kumho & Toyo have not rated well for winter, but as the people here attest, they have them, and have had good luck.
