Got warranty?

I would first find the connector and inspect for water, corrosion, mechanical (or mice) damage.

I thought I saw something once where some rust or such was inerfering with the interaction of the sensor and 'star wheel'. The sensor to wheel gap should be 0.3 to 1.3mm. I think that the post has the sensor removed, some cleaning, then replaced.

code C1372 is described as an open circuit, absormal signal is C1371 (left front)

Found the connector, it is buried behind the coolant reservoir. A nice confined area for mice too!

With the sensor opened up, one can check for an open circuit. Red wire is signal, blue is ground for the front left sensor.

The R&R description states nothing about setting the gap, so it seems to be non adjustable. The bub is aluminum from 2000+, so perhaps one should look for some corrosion product. The sensor retaining screw might be hard to break free, it would be a good idea to clean the recess in the screw and then drive in the torx or hex bit to get a good grip and avoid stripping the head. refit with neversieze, and put some around sensor contact surface to help keep out water+salt.

Also inspect the main ABS harness area for mice damage, and I would remove and inspect the gang connector at the ABS unit as well. From there, one can check sensor impedance on pins 6&7. Pin six is the signal ground and separate from the shield ground. Check for resistance on pin six to chassis ground and check for open or short circuit across pins 6&7.

The ABS leads are shielded. Ground for these is G2, between battery and headlamp. Module gets grounds via G30 and G40.

EPC shows same part L&R for front: 2002+
