Need instructions to program/disconnect alarm

Few people mentioned that rather than replacing the siren module (with low baterries) they got their alarm disconnected. I want to do that as I don't want to spent 500 CAD to replace 2 batteries which should last 10 years according to my Saab manual (they lasted 4 years). I asked a Saab mechanic that was recommended to me if he knows how to do that and he said he had never done it but could try it. To help him I would like to get the TechII instructions to deprogram the alarm so that he has something to go by. Does the siren needs to be physically disconnected as well or just programatically?
