Good point on the flood cars...

I brought my Areo in to an indie at 49K for the inspection - the dealers don't seem to want to find the big problems in an inspection. The Indie wants your work (and performance upgrades) after you've left the dealer. The Indie also has a good idea regarding long term issues to look out for -water pumps, broken tranny mounts, sway bar bushing wear etc and will get you a good list of stuff to bring back to your final warranty visit.

Get a good aftermarket service plan - Ultimate warranty (Capital Assurance Group) has been good for covering saab issues in the absence of CPO.

For reference; I paid 15.9K for a California Lease return 2001 Aero in 2004 with 42K miles and that was a real good deal. Did my homework and knew when to move on the right car. It's been cheap thrills since.
