Ideally, all four tires should be the same (size, brand, type, and age). If not, then the tires on the same "axle" should be the same, with the newer ones on the rear, as I recall. I don't think it's a good idea to have newer tires on one side and worn tires on the other side. I also don't think it's a good idea to drive 80 mph on old, worn tires!
Tires are fairly inexpensive, so I agree with 8AA2YM that the best option would be to ask for four new tires. Just be sure they are good name brand tires that meet the factory specs for size and speed rating. Our 2003 9-5 Linear was rock solid at 80 (and beyond).
