No, I didn't buy these. I still have the Zimmermann cross-drilled rotors on my car that I installed 80,000 miles ago. These will need to be replaced next time I do pads, and may be near minimum thickness now. (Zimmerman says you can use the hole chamfer to judge replacement time, when the chamfer disappears due to wear the rotor needs to be replaced.)
I spotted the R1 Concept rotors on an e-Bay advertisement a few months ago, then posted here looking for comments. I eventually found their web site and learned that they purchase brake components from multiple manufacturers (some very famous, some I have never heard of) and machine the rotors to be drilled, slotted, both, etc. to match the buyer's request. Since Saab was/is the only company who makes rotors for the Aero, any rotor bought from R1 Concepts will be/was a re-machined Saab rotor. In this regard the rotors will be identical to those purchased from GenuineSaab (a site sponsor) who does the same thing. A "too good to be true" price may indicate that R1 has located a hitherto unknown company to cast Aero rotors.
Rotors for 9-5's other than the Aero can be specified from a variety of companies - some in the unknown category. Buyers need to select the base rotor manufacturer they desire. The "price leader" rotors R1 advertises will probably come from unknown companies with unknown quality histories.
The above is my impressions from visiting R1's web site.
