I wish that I had more experience with other tires to comment objectively about the Cooper Zeon 2sx. So far, this seems like an excellent tire. It has never surprised me driving and yeah, real grippy - a broad transition area between grip and slip - sounds like it's chewing on rocks when pulling hard into traffic. Perhaps a bit fragile though - maybe all 17's are like this, but I hit some road debris, formed a small bubble and several days later it slowly went flat. They are hard to find locally so I ordered another one on line. The new tire has 8K less miles than the other three and seems to be causeing some pulling. Either I get another new tire or not rotate this one for a few cycles until it wears down.
