trailer hitch - Saab vs Draw-Tite

I just finished installing a Draw-tite hitch in the '03 9-5 Aero wagon. That wagon recently replaced my 2001 2.3lpt, which I had installed the OE trailer hitch, and I thought I'd share a few data points for those evaluating both:
- Both fit well. IMO, the factory bumper mounts do more to reinforce the bumper than to support the hitch - I would trust both to easily pull the rated trailer load. The limiting factor for towing is based far more on the suspension than the frame/hitch in this case. The Draw-tite is a lot easier to install.
- Both have very easy to understand instructions.
- The Saab drawbar has about 4" of lift vs the Draw-tire recommended drawbar, which has only about 1" of lift. The Saab one wins on this count, the ball height seems to be just right for lots of trailers. I think the Draw-tite one is too low. You can fit the Saab drawbar to the Draw-tite, but only with a little grinding. You can probably order a drawbar from Draw-tite that's highter, but I have no idea how.
- The Saab connector is handy, but it is very little work to install a standard trailer adapter - the wires are very easy to access.
Hope that helps someone...
Sam
