Hey, I upgraded my 99 9-5 to a 2001 Aero and the dealer told me that I couldn't transfer my OH SO TRICK hands-free cell phone installation into my new car because OnStar is in the way. WHAT'S WITH THAT!?!? I talked to a few friends inside GM that work with Saab USA folks and sombody dug up the RIGHT answer for me!

I want everybody to know that I found a device that will allow for a complete handsfree phone system to be installed along with the OnStar system. It seems the folks at Saab couldn't figure this out on their own but there's an electrical designs firm in New Mexico that has developed the part.

They call it the Triad and it works GREAT. Their phone number is 505-856-1556. You might have to leave a message. Ask for Jim! I LOVE this new system. It's just a shame that Saab couldn't have done this on their own. I had my phone guy install it and he was blown away by how "smart it is." Pass the word around. I remember talking to a lot of people at the convention who wanted this part and now it's out there!

PS They said the same part fits both 2000 and 2001 Saabs, 9-5 and 9-3. I called Saab CAC and they, of course, know nothing about it.
