As I mentioned earlier, it is not much more to do as far as info for you without getting down and dirty with testing different components and solutions, but it sounds like an internal mechanical failure when it gets worse when hot.
This is based on other transmission failures I have seen.
These transmission are very strong and hear of few failures but that doesn't stop one here and there to sporadically go bad. It just happens.
We also don't know what the transmission fluid looked like when he did the 60K service. Maybe it was black and stinky burned. If that would be the case, the transmission was already going out at that point.
When the transmission fluid is black and you can feel a burned smell, it is no guaratees how long it will last even if you flush the fluid, the damage is already done internally.
I assume that the technician have done all different kind of testing comparing input/output shaft speeds using the Tech 2 and checked that the shift solenoids are engaging different gears when they should.
If it would be a shift solenoid acting up, you will almost always get a code for that failing solenoid. The TCM is pretty good picking up solenoid failures.
You can always try with a tranny flush if you want to pay for that, but don't have any high hopes for a good result.
