I would be cautious and make sure a mechanic takes a look at it regardless. I would also check the maintenance records.
My 99 2.3LPT had a couple of major problems that were at least partially covered by SAAB (SID and AC condenser) before I hit the 100K mile point. After 100K miles I had to replace the heater bypass valve, replace the DIC, clean the throttle body, replace the water pump, and replace the heater/AC fan. Now I'm having the head gasket replaced.
Other than the DIC and the head gasket, I don't think any of these other problems are that unreasonable for a 100K mile car.
The car is still great. However, unless some of the above have been done already, you might be in for an expensive repair. I would not be surprised if you had to spend $1500-$2000 in the next year. Make sure you check the Kelly Bluebook online (http://www.kbb.com) to make sure that you are not overpaying for the car.
Also, you may want to have the mechanic check for sludge, which seems to be an issue for some of the 9-5 posters.
If some of the above haven't been done, you may want to at least get the seller to drop his price by $1000 from the Kelly Blue Book price.
