Best snow tires?

I know it is the dog days of summer but I'm starting to think about the upcoming Boston winter - any thoughts on best snow tires for a 2004 Arc wagon? I have had the car for just 2 months and it came with a new set of Goodyear summer tires but I'm definitely going to want to want to swap when the weather turns. Any ideas/thoughts/comments would be appreciated.
The car is awsome so far - I'm glad I DID NOT get an Aero - too much power for me as it is.
