Broken Lug Nut!!!!! Help ((longish))) Posted by BobSAAB [Email] (#1912) [Profile/Gallery] (more from BobSAAB) on Tue, 1 Aug 2006 12:50:57 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hello,
Wify went to a local shop to get a flat fixed and ended up with a broken lug nut that the shop moron says was too tight, ("Bull Pucky" I say since I torque them my self at 80lb).
Anyways shop moron is not ready to get the broken part out of the wheel housing.
I bought a drill bit that the parts shop said would work to drill a hole in the Nut, but that thing does not even scar the nut let alone drill a hole in it.
My question is other than using a "chisel" to create a mark on the nut and try to hammer it loose, what else can I try????
I have driven the car about 300 miles so far on 4 lug nuts; it has not come loose so far as the shop moron suggested it would.
Any help is appreciated!!!!
