Both of our 9-5s have been nearly flawless, if you don't count the almost predictable failure of some component in the serpentine belt path. We've had five SAABs with essentially the same 2.3 engine belt layout, and all but the one we're driving now have failed at one time or another. We're almost at 35K miles, and starting to hold our breath, waiting for the belt to be shredded. Other than that, the 9-5s have been great. The three 9000s we owned had numerous niggling electrical problems.
