I am looking to do some work on my car within the next few weeks, first torqueing the head bolts, also adding the SMBC (sounds like a good deal for 25 bucks)and also it is time for the S belt to be replaced. It was last replaced at about 70k mi. and I am now at almost 125k mi. So thinking of doing it myself. it is a median/hard/ impossible diy project? I Belive I am currenty on the long belt situation, I have read a lot about the short belt and seem to be getting mixed reviews. If I remain on the long belt, what all should i change with it? if it is the suggestion, what should I do with the short belt? I attached a pic (thanks saabsite!) with the parts numbered, so hopefuly that will help me understand which parts to replace better. Also, when I turn my car on from a cold start, and the AC is on, I get a little bit of a metalic rattle, Again Only if the ac is on. as soon as I turn it off, it goes away... is that a bad sign? can I replace the pully easily?
