'99 95SE sedan with 70K miles.
It started getting intermitten CEL codes for minor leak in Evap System. The PCV lines and canister were replaced with PVC fix #4 and that did not stoped these occurences. Changed gas cap on dealers advice - no fix, then went to indy who replaced the fuel tank since they found a cracked plastic weld. This cured the problem for a while (~2months). Now I am getting the same code each time I fill up the tank with gas to full (topped off ussually), but not if I do partial fills to less than 75%. I recently replaced all evap vac hoses again but left the carbon canister in place, and this did not solve the problem. After a top off, I get gas smell in the cabin for the first ~50 miles and CEL comes on first or second start, also gas smell stronger on agressive driving, or cornering. Going under the car, I don't see obvious gasoline leaks at tank or fuel lines. Indy claims there is a service bulleting telling owners not to top off the tank. In my 2000 95 wagon I don't have this problem even though I routinely top if off. Is this something unusual, do I cause it by topping off the tank? Had someone else had this problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jerzy
