My dealer charged a little extra labor cost to do the tensioner and pulley--as well as the cost of the parts themselves.

Though that came to $500, I could not find an indy who could do it all for cheaper.

I think Anders had a post at some point in time implying that the belt failures after 60k miles have more to do with messing up the very delicate tensioner adjustements and not so much the belt really only being good for 60k miles. (The Saturn belts are replaced at 100k miles.)

This will be worth the trip to Seattle.

Insist that only 12 year old Swedish virgins touch the tensioner assembly before the mechanic installs it in order to prevent impurities that might affect (what we call in the business) "timing belt tensioner chi".
