I purchased the car CPO'D in August of 06. What I have asked for is the cost of the car when I purchased it 3 months ago. Yes I know that it’s a slim chance that I will get it, but I also know that the state of Washington is very consumer friendly State and I may push the limits of the law under the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. My thought is that if I make it a win-win they can sell a new car and I can get out of what seems to be a pit.
Since I have owned the car I have had a trunk that wouldn’t open (2nd day of ownership). Sunroof issues, a bad rail I think. A battery Failure. The dreaded ! Abs/Tcs brake light issue. (What a nightmare) five trips to the dealership at 280 miles per trip to resolve. The last dealership had the car for just under 2 weeks and finally got it repaired One week later after getting the car repaired I now have what appears to be a dead cat converter.
Guys, I am not a person who thrashes a car. I use only Chevron Supreme Gas, it gets garaged, and I haven’t had the car long enough to give it an oil change!
The good point of depreciation has been brought up and that is a good point the main reason that I haven’t already just dumped the car. I just cant keep using my vacation to run back and forth to the car dealership.
