It depends on what floats your boat.
Saabs have great ergonomics, wonderful seats, are super safe, go reasonably fast, handle well, have good road feel, and tend to be very practical. And Saab is the master of turbocharging.
But to someone who likes to be coddled in silence and isolated from the road as they drive--like in a Lexus, Infiniti or a Caddy--Saabs don't seem nearly as "refined." Nor do they have all the electronic gadgetry of other cars, which to some people says they are less refined. And BMWs do handle better under most conditons. Volvos are about the same as Saabs.
IMO, Saab holds its own against these other makes, but people buy cars for a bunch of reasons. A Camry, for example, is certainly fairly refined, it's boring to drive and loses its cool if driven fast on a windy road. But it's all in what you like.
