Are SAABs getting so reliable now that…

…all dealers are resorting to unscrupulously promoting undocumented major and minor routine services, or is it just happening in Boulder? Based on the common wisdom here, I have always taken my 04 Arc in for oil changes every 5K mi. The dealer always provided friendly service and only charged $27 for the extra oil changes (I provided the Mobil1) and happily provided the free service at the specified 15K intervals. Now that I am past the free-service distance and time, every time I go in for the 5K oil change the service manager tries to convince me that there is some other significant service item due, e.g., fluid changes, inspections etc. I'm only up to 45K. I say “No, just want an oil change and whatever you would typically do along with that” Then when they start to get persistent I mention that there is nothing about that in the operator's manual and they immediately back off. Anybody else getting this, or maybe I just look like an easy target? (Sorry, posted a similar rant last time this happened but was a little taken back that it persists.)
