I made the 'mistake' of driving a 2004 Mercedes E55 AMG last week, and now it's hard to sleep.
I love my '00 Aero Wagon, and I'll probably drive it for another year or two, but there is one Hell of a battle going on in my head. I have a great car with low miles, great storage space, solid performance, and it's all paid for.....
On the other hand, if I just traded the Aero in and wrote a BIG check, I could spend some time each day in what has got to be one of the best 4-door sedans ever to hit the pavement.
Has anybody ever driven one of these beasts? It has a supercharged V-8 (the badge on the fender says 'V8 Kompressor', how cool is that?)that puts out 470hp and 516 ft/lbs (!!!!!!) of torque. I can't get the feel of it out of my head. It goes 0-to-60 in 4.4 seconds, and it's a solid, substantial sedan that you can drive every day. I hit the gas a little too hard, and the car actually scared me. In a good way, of course :)
Why, oh why did I drive that damn thing........
Sigh.
