Probably a dying battery....... I love my 9-5, but it eats batteries like no tomorrow. Typical battery life as reported here is 2-1/2 to 3 years. If your car still has its original battery, or the original was replaced with the least expensive model the previous owner could find, your battery may rapidly be on its way out.
The second time mine failed I detected ever slower engine cranking for about a week every time I started the car, luckily it died in my driveway. The first time my battery failed I didn't notice anything until the engine abruptly wouldn't turn-over when I stopped for coffee after a 40 mile drive, requiring a tow to the closest Dealer only to discover a simple dead battery.
I expect to need a third replacement before winter due to battery age alone.
