Yes, the weather band is no longer part of the audio system.
However, there is a solution. Saab now offers XM radio as an accessory for your car. I've had XM for 7 years...I'd never be without. AND, it now offers 21 weather channels for major areas as follows.
Further, because this is satellite radio it's available no matter where you are. It doesn't work inside of tunnels...but FM doesn't either.
Boston, MA - XM 210
New York, NY - XM 211
Philadelphia, PA - XM 212
Baltimore, MD - XM 213
Washington, DC - XM 214
Pittsburgh, PA - XM 215
Detroit, MI - XM 216
Chicago, IL - XM 217
St. Louis, MO - XM 218
Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - XM 219
Seattle, WA - XM 220
San Francisco Bay Area, CA - XM 221
Los Angeles, CA - XM 222
San Diego, CA - XM 223
Phoenix, AZ - XM 224
Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX - XM 225
Houston, TX - XM 226
Atlanta, GA - XM 227
Tampa, FL - XM 228
Orlando, FL - XM 229
Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, FL - XM 230
XM Emergency Alert 24/7 - XM 247
