...except for all those new-fangled diesel John Deere's. Why I haven't seen a single diesel Harley, ever. <grin>
Johnson - seriously, do take the rider safety course. Not one of those things where you sit in a classroom, but one where you get out on the range and ride through a series of drills.
I've been riding since 1972, but like a lot of us when we started having a family, the bike went away. Then when the kids were older, I got back into it. And one of the earliest, and clearly the smartest, things I did was to take the MSF Basic Skills course. It was fantastic and was both a reminder and wake up call that a motorcycle is A LOT different that a car.
I've since taken the Experienced Rider Course a couple of times (whenever I got a new bike) - and HIGHLY recommend those, too.
As for online digests - this one is far superior to any MC ones I have found, but I have lurked and posted at a couple of the Harley ones and found lots of helpful folks in the process.
But it also seems like there are more *attitudes* on those lists than on this one, for sure.
Know the difference between a Hoover and a Harley? The dirt bag rides IN the Hoover....
Better get outta here now....
Ride safe!
