Guess i was thinking there might be a list out there somewhere that somebody could point me to.

I'm driving a ng900 and have just started looking into the 9-5 as an upgrade and don't really know too much about them. So, it was kind of a general question. But I was thinking there must be some sort of matrix out there that has a list of features, specs over the model years that I could be just pointed to with a polite, "RTFM" :)

Via email, another saabnetter sent me some great info on the engine changes from 1999-2007, and differences between the ARC and Aero models, etc:

1999 - 2005 aeros have the same engine / turbo as the viggen. All of the 9-5's have either the 2.3 inline 4 or the 3.0 v6. The V6 and the light pressure turbo cars use the smaller garret turbos and the aero's and Arc's get the larger Mitsubishi.

2006 they switched all of the 9-5 to the aero spec turbo and engine management. They now rate at 260 horse. My 2001 is rated at 230, but you would be hard pressed to really feel any difference. I test drove an 06 and I really couldn't tell.
