Anyone get the State of Nine cupholder to stay in place Posted by Saabpilot [Email] (#134) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Saabpilot) on Wed, 23 May 2007 20:02:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I bought one of the $50 door-mounted cupholders from State of Nine. This is not a post against State of Nine. They're a great vendor with good products.
My question is, does anyone else have one and have you found a way to make it stay in place? The directions recommend duct tape under the cup holder, which does nothing. My screws keep coming loose. (Yes, I have a screw loose; insert laugh here).
I was thinking of putting an aluminum plate between the door pocket and the screws so they had something to "bite" into, and then using blue (semi-permanent) Loctite on the threads of the screws.
This weekend is a "work on the Saabs" weekend and I'd like to fix this.
