One side done - upgraded A/C stop arms

Well, I finished the passenger side blend motor stop arm install. I used the aluminum upgrade stop arm from TheSaabSite. Kind of a PITA. Those aluminum arms are a TIGHT fit on the shaft. I had to remove the L shaped duct so I could stick my fingers in there to support the back of the shaft as I pushed the new arm on. I definitely see how the broken stop arm causes the shaft to break - the blend door and shaft are surprisingly flimsy. Glad I did it - the plastic original stop arm had a crack in it - it was only a matter of time....
I am not super wild about the fact that there is no grommet where the metal rod fits into the new stop arm - it just flops around. But the design is such that when it is together I don't think it can fall out. We'll see.
I replaced the cabin air filter while I was in there - I was annoyed that evidently NAPA doesn't carry them anymore. I had to order one from Eeuroparts.
Driver's side next - looks like even worse access - anyone BTDT and have any tips? I could take the steering wheel off but I hate to do that. Luckily I have a lift - I'm a big guy and doing this sort of work with the car on the ground would be awful.
