and paid out the ying yang for a new turbo (1600 bucks) I didn't know better, my previous car cost me 500 bucks, and was a pos, a very fast pos but a pos none the less, and I just didn't care what did/did not work on it. My saab i've baby'ed, and really wanted it to last so I thought the best thing was to go to the dealer, I also had had it just a few months, and didn't know about this site, and had no idea what I had gotten myself into. and they were not very far from work. I had to take it back 4 times for them to get the turbo put in correctly, and keep it from going bad, as 3 of the ones they did put in all failed. they also put over 700 miles on my car in the times that it was in the shop (which I didn't find wholy nessisary to test the new turbo), if I were to do it again I would buy an upgraded turbo, one for the aero, as it seems to be less prone to failure and also gives the added boost with an ecu upgrade. and I would install it myself, and (since I don't drink) have a chest of rootbeer and some friends over, and let them watch me do all the work as they usually do.
