I've had the same problem on my '01 Sportwagon 2.3 for some time. The problem first appeared at about 60K (the car has 92K now) but it does not happen all the time. I was turning left at a light when the lag first occurred and I didn't think I'd clear the oncoming cars. What makes the problem hard to take is that it does not happen all the time. I've used Techron, changed gas, with no clear change. So now I NEVER turn left when time is an issue -- I just wait! I asked my tech to check the car with no success. The car is due for major service soon so I hope that will fix the problem. But even then, I suspect I will just wait rather than depend on the car to go quickly from stop.
