Let me get this straight . . .

You bought a new 9-5 in 1999. You drove it for 8 years, and 103,000 miles. At that point, it suffered a catastrophic engine failure, 5 years and nearly 70,000 miles out of warranty.

And you're upset that Saab only offered you $1,500, instead of $5,000 ?

Personally I think Saab's offer was more than generous, under the circumstances.

Your expectations of what the manufacturer should be responsible for, after the warranty has expired, are unreasonable and outrageous.
