I plan on carefully watching for any sign of oil leaks.
I have a new waterpump and all necessary gaskets/seals/coolant in the garage. I had planned on doing the pump replacement this Summer or Fall but time excaped me and it is now 32 degrees ouside.
I wonder if gummy dried glycol from a weeping water pump seal might be part of the goo being observed on the engine. No firm evidence of a failing pump, but after 213,350 miles I am not expecting it to last forever either.
I semed odd that my rotors, with very visible wear - Spring '08 job, did not get mentioned. No load test on the battery either. I knew going in that this free inspection is being offered in hopes of generating Service Dept sales, but I had hoped for a check list of things examined, both good and suspect.
Guess I got what I paid for, huh?
