You have to remove the wood dash panel. Use a butter knife to pry out the SID, get the DIN removal tools from walmart, $5 at most, remove the stereo head unit. Pull out the stereo head cage (it makes a terrible cracking sound coming out but nothing breaks). Then you can fit your hands in behind the ACC panel and pull that straight out. All the switches and stuff have to be pushed out from behind. With the car on, turn the steering wheel 90 degrees in each direction to expose the 2 screws in the plastic trim pieces surrounding the steering wheel column. With those remove the two halves snap apart. The two stalks are held in with pressure clips, pull them out and let them dangle. Open the fuse panel on the side of the dash near the driver side door and unscrew the fuse panel and let it hang. Push out the light switchpack from behind. After removing all this stuff it will expose 6 torx screws around the wood panel to be removed. Once those are out there are a few of those fantastic little clips that hold the piece in, just give it a tug. Lift off the panel carefully and it should be pretty obvious how to remove the instrument cluster. It sounds intimidating but I did it easily in about an hour and a half. None of the switches or wire harnesses fit into holes that they don't go to. They did a good job of idiot-proofing the dash setup. Once the cluster is out I think the bulbs just need a quarter turn then they'll fall out. You may want to replace more than just the ones that are out right now, because it's likely more will go out soon. Here's a link with some pictures. I had it off to replace the folding cupholder.
