I was testing the plug without the motor plugged in, that's when I had a constant 12v. I then tested with the motor plugged in and it was at .01v (btw, I took the motor apart and cleaned it up, one brush was stuck in it's glide, that's why it wasn't running). When I tried the fan I got three different voltages using the manual fan control. At the first bar I got around 8v, 2 bars 9.5v, 3 bars 11.5 and 4,5,6 and 7 are all the same as the third bar 11.5. What do you guys think, how many different reading should I be getting as I ramp up the motor, as many as there are bars(7)? Or might I only be getting three speeds because the motor is shot. Is the controller a go/no go part or might it die slowly while giving you less speeds as it does? Well Herb, I'm going to eeuroparts now and drop a few Benjamins on a new blower and hopefully that will solve my problems. I'd appreciate any thoughts on the speed issue. Oh and Buck I assume the ground is ok but will verify it. Thanks again everyone.
