Things to consider..... Posted by Herb Hirsch [Email] (#114) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Herb Hirsch) on Sun, 30 Dec 2007 11:42:11 In Reply to: wheel, tim, Sun, 30 Dec 2007 08:03:21 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
To avoid problems and ensure a good fit here are some of the things you need to confirm.
Offset: 49mm Saab specifies this for the wheel offset.
Bolt circle: 5 x 110 If this isn't right, you won't be able to fit the wheel onto the car.
Diameter: 16" Saab specifies this wheel diameter for a full size spare.
Width: 6.5" Saab specifies this wheel width for a full size spare.
Tire: 215 X 55 X 16 Saab specifies this tire size for a full size spare.
You may find what you're looking for in a junkyard, with difficulty. The bolt center (5X110) could be a show stopper; it's an uncommon size and it has to be right in order to bolt the wheel onto the car. Even if you find one on a Saab, you won't know if it's bent (vibration) until you mount it up and go for a ride.
Alternatively, Tire Rack does sell a 16" steel wheel specifically for a Saab 9-5 for $49.
