That's how my turbo went. I only had a cloud of blue smoke at start up for about a year. Sometimes a lot, sometimes a little, a few times none. Then one day merging onto the highway I looked back and almost crapped myself at how much smoke I had just made. But like I said before you've got the Mitsubishi turbo so it shouldn't be doing this yet. Make sure your PCV valve is working right, (make sure it's going the right direction and pull it out and do the suck/blow test - should only be able to move air through it one way). I know where it is on my V6, but not exactly sure on the I4. I think you have to remove the plastic cover and it's under there.
