Turbo is original. Water pump is original. Alternator is original. Fuel pump was replaced last year - over $1 grand cost with tow to Dealer and new oil pressure sensor when Tech found old one leaking.

If all maintenance was done by Dealer, find out which Dealer, and then try to learn what was done.

My car has been effectively trouble free, but high miles can lead to expensive maintenance. Hopefully the first owner had many of the higher cost items replaced during his ownership.

In addition to the above migh mileage wear items, the biggest concern with these cars is sludge in the engine. Does it have PCV ver6.0 installed? Were the headbolts checked/replaced? (Early 9-5 2.3 litre engines thru mid-2001 were prone to under-torqued headbolts leaving the factory) Any evidence of oil leaks? Any history of oil change intervals ? (I change the oil every 5,000 miles using only high quality synthetic because of the sludge concern) Can you have the pan dropped or valve cover pulled (easy D-I-Y with $20 gasket set required) to inspect for sludge?

If the car looks as good as you say, I hope the maintenance records are equally good for you.
