Last spring the first hot day I went to turn on my nice cool A/C and just got tons of warm air. Bleh. Anyway, all my fuses were fine, and I could hear and feel the compressor kicking in, so I came to Saabnet. I found that the sight glass was a common leak point, but couldn't find it on my car (any suggestions?). So I just bought a can of R-134a from WalMart and recharged the system until the meat thermometer I stuck in the dash vent met the requirements pictured below (I didn't have the engine revving at 1500-200rpm though). Anyway, of course, I went to turn on the nice cool A/C last week and, you guessed it. Nothing. I guess I'll recharge it again and see how long it lasts this time. By the way, only recharge the A/C system through the LOW PRESSURE port. You have to remove the passenger side headlight to get to it. It's pretty idiot-proof anyway, I don't think the connector fits onto the high pressure port.
