Bye Bye 9-5

I regretfully had to give up on my 9-5 wagon finally, after last week learning that it was sludged. This after dumping over 4k in headgasket, new turbo, and countless hours of frutless labor.
I'm so buried in the car I've just parked it and will probably part it out for whatever I can use on my two 02 9-3's, one being a viggen with the same engine I believe.
Since I had to have a wagon and an auto, I went to look at a replacement, but seing as saab hasn't updated this model since the Clinton administration, I decided to take a walk on the wild side and stroll over to Volvo. In short, I ended up getting a nice low miles V40 wagon, which is admittedly cramped, and much slower than the 9-5. but also gets better MPG, and has very comfy seats.
Only because saab seems to have abandoned this product line, do I reccomend anyone thinking of replacing their 9-5 wagon take a test in this particular volvo. Its a pretty good move, though I still can't get used to the key being on the steering wheel...
I do NOT reccomend ANYONE in the Houston area buy a saab that is not under warranty, or which you don't plan on maintaining yourself. I have had absolutely terrible experiences at the dealers and elsewhere, and many others have written with the same experiences. I will keep my beloved 9-3's til the end though.
