I have a 2003 Aero with 64K miles on it. It's been great and it is great. I take very good care of it. I plan to keep it for years but the background symphony of clunks, rattles and groaning sounds is really bugging me. It's been this way for a long, long time.

The rear suspension rattles (right rear) and groans over speed bumps. I replaced the shocks but that didn't make a difference. The steering has the minor "clunk" that been well-document on this site. I get the knuckle lubed a couple of times of year but it's still there. Now there's a new sound in the front, a kind of "hee hah, hee hah" over speed bumps, potholes and rough pavement.

Is this just the price you pay for driving this car? Strange, but I notice the rear sounds are less noticeable on rainy days, which makes me think it's dried out swaybar links, but they've been lubed. Anyway, has anyone solved the riddle of the noisy suspension?
