Had the PCV 6 update done last week.
At first, I was going to do it myself. I put the car on stands and found that you have to go way underneath to reach the trap...and it was really cramped. If you do the job from the top, you will be working blind.
Decided to let my indie do it instead. I purchased the parts from Europarts. Bought the Saab kit, plus URO hoses and a ScanTech PCV valve w/ hose. The URO hoses appeared to be of the same quality as genuine Saab. I have no concerns about these what-so-ever. The ScanTech PCV connections are smaller than the original, but it has it's own hose so this is a non issue.
The mechanic did the job while I waited/watched. Took him about a little over an hour, but he was interrupted a lot by phone calls and other customers drifting in.
I didn't think I would notice any difference with the update, but I was wrong. Car has a smoother idle and better acceleration. Would highly recommend this for older models.
