There's actually quit a bit of room back there. It's just awkward to get to. Not counting the time fiddling with the insulation certainly less than a couple hours. You need to loosen the brace for the intake manifold, it will swivel out of the way. The lower bolt is done mostly by feel, but here's little doubt as to where it is. Just turn the box around, there is an angle that it comes out pretty easily. My oil pan hose was O.K. If you stick your mit down there before the job and squeeze it you should be able to tell if it needs replacement. It wasn't in the kit by the way.
