I am in Texas, and we do have a lemon law the initial occurrence must happen in the first 12 months or 12K miles. I was at 13 months and about 14K miles. Additionally if you cannot settle an issue with your current brand and its support structure why would you just want more of the same? What if the replacement has a different odd problem? If I cannot get this fixed, I will replace it with another brand. (In GM call center speak that last sentence translates to "customer requested replacement car". Talented bunch those call center reps)
I have suspected the CPS, but this is different than its typical failure mode of
1. car stops running when hot but restarts after cooling down
or
2. car won't start.
We have discussed that it might be the main CPU box flaking, but it is inside the car and I always use the air so it isn't hot inside the car.
My other suspects are temp sensors, the BPC, and the evaporative emissions vacuum circuit that connects to the BPC (indirectly). There are a couple of check valves in the loop that could be allowing boost where it shouldn't if I understand them correctly.
This is really the only trouble I have had with 4 SAABs, a 1995 9K CS, a 1999 9.3 E conv, a 2006 9.3 SC, and this one, an 06 9.5 with sport pkg. (Aero). Overall I think the dealer is competent and doing the best they can. The SAAB customer service call center should be closed. Additionally I am not terribly impressed with the dealer's tech support from SAAB either. Per the dealer service manager, they don't like to talk to customers.
