Allan,
That would require me to be in possession of the car. It has pretty much been at the dealer for the month of May. Earlier this week I was told the turbo was on order and I should get it back on Friday (tomorrow).
This will sound awful, but they loaned me a 9.3 Aero with the Bose stereo and other than gas mileage being crappy, (right foot twitch might be the cause of that), I am OK with it. As far as I am concerned, if SAAB wants to play swap the component instead of troubleshoot and diagnose, it's their money to spend as they wish.
While I can certainly think about trying the bolt, it could only be an intellectual / imaginary exercise as disabling emissions equipment could void my warranty, ya know?
My gut has always told me it had to be a sensor so I tend to lean towards John M's idea.
SAAB and the dealer on the other hand are addicted to the Tech2 teat and prefer to waste lots of their time and money. Tech2 is only as good as the people who use it, it is not a magic box. Case in point, the DIC, throttle body, etc and the car still has an issue.
I absolutely love my 9.5. GM's handling of this issue may cure me of loving SAABs. I have been insulted, misquoted, ignored, and generally treated like I was psychotic (hallucinating).
Whoever designed GM's service network should be made incapable of reproduction.
