Engine Noise on V6 after Timing Belt replaced??

I just picked up my V6 from the mechanic after having the following work done: Timing belt and rollers replaced, serpentine belt replaced, water pump replaced, thermostat replaced and fuel filter replaced. To be honest the car ran fine before I had this stuff done but I wanted to proactive since I just purchased the car and it is about to roll 60k.
Anyway I picked it up expecting it to run smoother and maybe I am imagining things but the engine now seems louder and even seems to vibrate a tinge when I am sitting with the car parked. The mechanic mentioned something about the timing belt needing to tighten (or loosen?) up a bit as I drive. Finally he mentioned that I need brake booster replaced and some of the D.I. cassette(?) replaced but that this stuff wasn't urgent.
So should I expect any noises for awhile after this type of work? To be honest I am little disappointed because this work wasn't cheap and was done by a mechanic that is highley recommended in LA.
