Thanks. So basically it sounds like what you are saying is that if the timing belt isn't adjusted extremely accurately it can change the "feel" of the car.
I just went and started the car and sat in it and it feels as if there is a kind of a shaking "rumble" when I am sitting in the car and I don't remember it being noticeable before. The engine also seems like it skips a bit too. I don't want to be too anal about this but I wonder if it's worth taking it back to him or just getting a second opinion.
He did bring up the issue of the DIC and I am not doubting that there are some issues but I don't see how those would show up immediately after I pick up the car.
