I had the same amount of stuff replaced with my v6. Afterwards, I had this funny squeaking sound on cold mornings, but that went away eventually. The engine also seems to have a little bit more vibration around 2000 rpm than I remember. I was super paranoid about driving the car since I really didn't want to break the engine. I understand your point of view because after spending 1000+ you want the engine to sound like new. I had the service done 30K ago and it runs fine as of today. I think if you replace everything and the timing marks are "almost" perfect, you'll be fine. The maximum amount the timing can be off by is a couple of degrees. After that I think you start hitting valves, so you would know if the timing belt was way off. Have them check it again if they offer that for free. If not let someone like swedecar take a look.
