I do have WIS, but I can't find a darn thing in there about a procedure for removal and reinstallation of the PCV box. There's only an information page with a diagram of the system and how it works. Anyway, looking at my car there seems to be quite a bit in the way of making it an easy DIY job. He also explained to me that rather than using a gasket you have to put some special GM sealant stuff on between the box and engine. I might be able to handle it but I'll let him take care of it.
He's explained to me that he's done a few before on the V6 and quite often he will find that the thin rubber flange in there is curled up around the edges and not doing it's job so simply cleaning it will not fix your problem entirely. I'm hoping to get the old box from him when he's done and maybe I'll hacksaw it open and share some pictures.
