TIME FOR SERVICE means absolutely nothing. It's just a stupid message that pops up after a predetermined amount of miles. Most of the time the car's maintenance schedule is off sync with the message so it is meaningless. Hold down the clear button for a while. You'll hear it beep a couple times maybe, it will say CLEARED, but keep holding! You can let go after it says SERVICE. Then the message will be gone. It helps if you can read the display but just hold the button for a long time, maybe 30 seconds? See if SERVICE seems to go away. Good luck.
