Any advice for newbie on DIC and spark replacement?

Just got my DICs and spark plugs for my first official DIY. I know most of you could probably do this job with you eyes closed but I am looking for anything that I should be careful of or pay special attention to when doing this job? Pilotalx mentioned I should be extra careful when doing the rear DIC.
Also, just curious, but since an indie is doing my brake booster in the morning would it be much more work for him to just do the DIC and sparks at the same time? Do indies usually get offended when you supply your own parts? I really would like to try it myself but if he could do this in ten minutes it might be more convenient.
