pinging... is... not ... loud....thats not good...it only takes a split second to burn a hole in a piston...its called silent knock...up the octane on your next take of gas....especially if the ambient temps are hot...your fuel system is great...adapts to low octane....really quickly....look in your owners manual for the proper octane fuels to use
remember... you have a turbo charged engine..forced induction...hot air temps....makes for hotter air temps going into the engine...which makes the pinging..and silent knock....if you live in an area with lots of bugs that clog...the air conditioning condensor....road salt...and spread sand on the roads in winter that will lower the cooling temps of the intercooler..behind the condensor... and now the radiator is working harder to cool your engine....just a thought...what i deal with...
